First Impressions: 口袋修仙 Demo

A fresh, free demo that replaces traditional deck-building with a spatial inventory puzzle in a cultivation setting.

Forget drafting cards into a deck and start packing your bags. Pocket Cultivation is a weird, fresh take on the genre where your inventory grid is the actual engine of your power.

Gameplay

You're not building a deck here; you're building a storage bag. Instead of drafting cards to a hand, you're managing a limited grid of slots. You venture through a cultivation world, grabbing loot and trying to figure out how to fit a powerful artifact next to a specific pill to boost your stats. It's a mix of a deckbuilder and those inventory puzzles you've seen in Resident Evil or Backpack Hero. The loop is all about the synergy hunt. When you finally slot that one item that makes your whole bag 'click,' it feels great.

Since it's a demo, don't expect a polished experience. You'll definitely notice some rough edges. The UI feels clunky at times, and because it's early, you're going to hit walls where the balance feels off. It doesn't have the tight, surgical precision of Balatro or Slay the Spire. It's leaning hard into an experimental indie vibe right now. You'll spend most of your time obsessing over spatial arrangement rather than just playing cards, which keeps the run variety fresh as you test different bag layouts. It's not as deep as a full release yet, but the core loop is addictive enough to keep you digging.

First Impressions

It's a 7/10 for a demo. If you're bored of the same old attack-and-defend loops, you should definitely grab this since it's free. I want to see the UI cleaned up and the balance tuned in the full release, but it's a must-try for anyone who likes inventory management puzzles.
