What is Beast Market?

It's an idle hunting RPG that replaces tactical combat with a Steam Market-based trading simulator.

Imagine an autobattler where the actual fighting is handled while you're offline and the real strategy happens on a trading floor. Beast Market turns the typical RPG loot grind into a high-stakes stock market simulator using real-world market values.

Gameplay

You've gotta realize this isn't a traditional autobattler like TFT or Hearthstone Battlegrounds. There's no drafting units or fighting opponents on a board. Instead, it's an AFK hunting RPG where the 'auto' part does all the heavy lifting. Your hunters slay beasts while you're sleeping or working, and you just log back in to see what you've stockpiled.

The real game starts at the Market Terminal. You aren't just clicking an upgrade button; you're analyzing materials and cores and comparing them to actual Steam Community Market prices. It turns the gear grind into a literal stock market simulator. If you love the thrill of flipping items for profit and watching numbers go up, you'll be hooked.

That said, it's pretty skeletal right now. It's basically in an open beta phase, and some Steam Inventory features are still waiting on updates to actually work. Since it's free-to-play, there's no financial risk, but don't expect a deep strategy experience. It's more of a fantasy trading floor than a tactical combat game. I'd give it a 6/10 for the wild concept, even if the combat depth is non-existent.

Verdict

“Brings my system to a crawl. Maybe in a few updates it will be better or worse.”

Grab this if you want a low-effort background game that lets you flip items for profit. Skip it if you're looking for tactical combat or a polished experience, as the current unfinished state and shallow systems make it a niche pick.
