What is Station Command?

A corporate-dystopia autobattler that trades fast-paced pivoting for deep fleet customization and salvage-based RPG progression.

If you're bored of the same old auto-chess loops, you need to look at Station Command. It blends autobattler combat with a gritty sci-fi RPG where you manage a station and a fleet in a corporate nightmare.

Gameplay

You're the new Commander of Watchpoint Station, and your job is basically to keep a corporate dystopia from collapsing while your boss hopes you don't get fired. Forget the frantic pivoting you're used to in TFT; this is way more of a Sci-Fi RPG. You spend your time prepping a fleet, managing your bridge crew, and salvaging gear from the wreckage of enemy ships. It's all about the long-term build, turning a junk pile of a ship into a powerhouse through a satisfying loop of prep and chaos.

It's not all smooth sailing, though. Since it's in Early Access from a small indie studio, you'll find some rough edges. The presentation is cute and functional, but don't expect a cinematic masterpiece. The pacing can also drag early on. You've gotta push through the initial slog to get the gear needed for the big fights. It's less about the 'buy three units and pray' luck and more about how you manage your resources and relationships over time.

At $9.99, it's a paid entry in a genre that's usually free-to-play. You're paying for the narrative weight and the RPG elements. Unlike Hearthstone Battlegrounds, you aren't just a floating head in a tavern; you're actually running a station with secrets and treachery. If you love the feeling of incremental progression and corporate misery, the value is there, but be prepared for a bit of a grind to get the momentum going.

What Players Say

Players are generally hyped, with some finishing the demo multiple times before jumping into the full game. They love the character design and the fact that the story develops quickly between battles without being pushy. One player noted that the game provides 'plenty of flexibility' to play your way. However, it's not without its hurdles; some find the early game a bit of a grind, suggesting 'it’s a good idea to push through' the start to actually get the equipment needed for bigger engagements.

I'm giving this a 7.5/10. Grab it if you want a narrative-driven autobattler with great salvage mechanics, but skip it if you can't stand Early Access jank or slow early-game pacing.
