What is Spirit of the Dome?
If you're tired of static tower defense games, you need to try Spirit of the Dome. It blends traditional defense with roguelite persistence and RTS action to create something way more aggressive than your average TD.

Gameplay
You aren't just sitting back and watching towers fire in Spirit of the Dome. You play as a spirit, which means you're actively summoning characters and casting spells in real-time to stop dark forces from overruning a decaying world. It feels way more like an RTS-lite than a static TD. If you've played Kingdom Rush, imagine that but with way more chaos because you're actually in the thick of the fight.
The real hook is the roguelite loop. You'll defend against massive waves, die (and you will), and then use that progress to unlock new characters and better upgrades for your next run. It's got that 'just one more try' energy that keeps you coming back to see how far you can push your build. The challenges keep the experience fresh so you don't get bored of the same maps too quickly.
Since it's in Early Access, it's not exactly polished. You'll definitely hit some rough edges and a few bumps while playing. Some of the balance feels off too—you might find yourself hitting a wall where you can't afford necessary upgrades even when you're climbing the leaderboards. Still, at $4.99, it's a steal. You're getting a lot of potential for the price of a coffee.
It's a great core experience, but it's not for everyone. If you want a relaxing, slow-paced puzzle where you set and forget your towers, this isn't it. This is an aggressive, fast-paced scramble for survival. Because Deformed Studios is still updating it, the foundation is solid, and it's only going to get smoother from here. I'd give it a solid 8/10 for where it stands right now.

Grab this if you want a chaotic, aggressive TD with a satisfying upgrade loop. If you hate Early Access jank or prefer slow, methodical strategy, you should probably wait for a few more polish passes.
