What is Sentry?
Stop playing passive tower defense games and get in the fight. Sentry mashes a first-person shooter with strategic turret placement on a spaceship, forcing you to be a soldier and a strategist at once.

Gameplay
Forget everything you know about sitting back and watching towers do the work. Sentry is a hybrid that throws you into the trenches as an FPS soldier on a spaceship. You'll spend your time slapping down turrets and traps to hold the line while actively fighting off alien hordes. It's way more intense than Bloons TD because you're actually in the fight, plotting escape routes and reacting to the chaos in real-time.
The loop is seriously addictive. You've got roguelike elements where you earn permanent unlocks after your runs, so getting wiped doesn't feel like a waste of time. The environmental destruction is a killer touch too; it adds a layer of unpredictability that most TD games totally ignore. You aren't just managing a grid; you're fighting a losing battle against a swarm that can tear your surroundings apart.
It's not all smooth sailing, though. The game's in Early Access, so you'll definitely feel those rough indie edges and a lack of total polish. You should also know they used generative AI for some of the art and music, which might be a dealbreaker for you. But at $1.99, it's a steal for the amount of adrenaline you get. Just be ready to panic when your front line collapses and the aliens swarm your position.
