Gameplay
First thing you've gotta realize: this isn't a roguelike. If you're hunting for a Slay the Spire clone, keep moving. TopDecked MTG is a sandbox simulator and companion app for Magic: The Gathering. Your loop here is Brew $\rightarrow$ Simulate $\rightarrow$ Tweak $\rightarrow$ Repeat. You use a massive database of real MTG cards to build your decks, then 'goldfish' your opening hands to see if the deck actually functions before you spend a dime on physical cards. It's all about the brew and testing synergies, from high-power Eldrazi stompy to niche Commander lists.
There's no traditional meta-progression or 'runs' here. The progression is just your own knowledge of the meta and your actual card collection. You can simulate up to four decks on a virtual battlefield, though you're playing against yourself. It's free to start, but be warned that some basic functions like creating tokens are locked behind power-ups. It's a massive time-saver for playtesting, but it's a tool, not a polished AAA game. You'll hit some rough edges, like 'power scores' that tell you a deck is strong without explaining why, making min-maxing a bit of a guessing game.
