What is Skirmish?

A chaotic, budget-friendly RTS card game that trades slow pacing for real-time unit brawls.

If you're itching for something that blends a card game with that 'set it and forget it' combat we love, you've gotta check out Skirmish. It's a chaotic, real-time brawl that ditches the slow shop phases for instant action.

Gameplay

You're not sitting around a board like you do in TFT. In Skirmish, you're playing a real-time strategy card game where you summon units via cards and send them charging across the field to wreck the enemy's flags. It's fast, chaotic, and hits that same dopamine button as Battlegrounds when you realize your unit composition is just way stronger than the other guy's. You aren't spending ten minutes agonizing over a shop; you're reacting in real-time, which strips away the slow pacing of its genre peers.

That said, it's not all smooth sailing. Since it's from a smaller dev, you'll hit some rough edges. The UI feels clunky and the learning curve is steep until you figure out which cards actually synergize. You'll probably lose your first few matches while you're figuring out the meta. It's a raw experience that feels less like a polished spreadsheet and more like a brawl. I'd give it a solid 7/10 for the twist it puts on the auto-combat formula.

One weird thing is the price. At $0.99, it's a paid game in a genre that's almost always free-to-play. It's a tiny amount, but it's an odd choice. You're paying for a bit of a gamble here—it's not a masterpiece yet, but it's addictive enough to justify the pocket change if you want something fast-paced.

Grab this if you want a fast, raw alternative to traditional autobattlers and don't mind a clunky UI. Skip it if you need the polish of a big-budget Riot game or hate steep learning curves.
