What is Kings Call 2?
If you’re hunting for the next Balatro or Slay the Spire, keep scrolling. Kings Call 2 is a completely different beast that trades tight roguelike runs for a grindy, free-to-play TCG experience. You become the Lord of Silver Heron Ridge, but you’ll need patience, not just strategy, to climb the ranks.

Gameplay
You’re not looking for a tight roguelike here, so don’t expect that Slay the Spire clarity. Kings Call 2 is a free-to-play TCG/RPG hybrid where you play as the Lord of Silver Heron Ridge. You pick one of four classes—Mage for AOE, Priest for healing, Ranger for precision, or Warrior for buffs—and start collecting cards. The loop isn’t about perfecting a single run; it’s a long-term grind. You fuse cards to boost their stats, manage kingdom resources, and build a powerhouse deck over time. Synergies are pretty standard fantasy fare, mostly stacking buffs and heals to keep your summons alive. It’s satisfying if you love seeing numbers go up, but it lacks the run variety you get from Monster Train. The meta-progression is heavily tied to card rarity, meaning you’ll feel the gap between White and Gold cards fast. It’s a sprawling, slightly messy experience that rewards patience over raw strategic depth.

Verdict
“MEH Coundnt see a option to choose a main male character Coundnt choose the name i wanted Dated a bit slow didnt crap me”
Give it a shot if you love TCGs and don’t mind a heavy grind for the sake of building a powerhouse deck, especially since it’s free. But if you want a deep, strategic roguelike with high replayability per run, this isn’t it. It’s fine for a casual distraction, but it doesn’t push the genre forward.
