What is Headbutt Dino?

Headbutt Dino trades complex strategy for pure, combo-driven aggression in a raw but addictive roguelite package.

Stop dodging and start smashing. Headbutt Dino is a chaotic roguelite deckbuilder where you play as a dome-headed dinosaur blasting through obstacles with pure aggression. It’s a weird, satisfying little experience that prioritizes momentum over meticulous planning.

Gameplay

You’re playing as a dinosaur that headbutts stuff, and honestly, it’s such a weird, satisfying loop. Instead of the usual dodge-and-weave tactics you see in most roguelites, this game is all about aggression. You’re blasting through obstacles and trying to keep a combo going. The deck-building loop is pretty lean, focusing on active cards that feel powerful to fire off. Here’s the kicker: the higher your combo gets, the denser the obstacles become. It creates this cool tension where you’re feeling like a god, but the game is actively ramping up the pressure to trip you up. Runs consist of ten stages, each ending with a boss fight. The synergies are more about momentum and raw power than complex card interactions, which keeps the pace frantic and fun.

Key Features

  • Aggressive headbutt combat loop

Verdict

If you’re burnt out on hyper-complex deckbuilders and just want to smash things for an hour, pick this up. Skip it if you need deep meta-progression or AAA polish, as it’s a raw, smaller project. It’s worth $4.99 for the fun, but don’t expect it to reinvent the genre.
