What is GLUE BLOCKS?

GLUE BLOCKS is a fun but janky puzzle game with great co-op, not the deckbuilder you're looking for.

Stop scrolling if you want card synergies, because GLUE BLOCKS is actually a Tetris-style puzzle game on steroids. It’s a trippy, gravity-defying experience that completely ignores the deckbuilder genre, so go in with zero expectations of drafting or meta-building.

Gameplay

Yo, let’s get one thing straight immediately: GLUE BLOCKS isn’t a deckbuilder. If you’re logging on expecting to draft cards, build synergies, or manage a deck like you do in Slay the Spire or Balatro, you’re gonna be super disappointed. There are no cards here. Instead, you’re dropping blocks into wells and gluing them together to form custom shapes. The real hook is the dynamic gravity and the weird, non-standard well shapes, which keeps it from feeling like just another arcade clone. You’re manipulating spatial awareness to clear massive lines, not managing RNG draws. It’s a vibe, and the retro soundtrack hits hard, but it’s a completely different beast than the roguelike stuff we usually hunt for on this blog. The loop is pure puzzle-solving, and while it’s fun, it lacks the meta-progression depth you’re used to.

Key Features

  • Dynamic gravity physics
  • Custom block gluing mechanics
  • Online co-op shared wells
  • Retro-inspired soundtrack

Verdict

“Honestly a bit shocking no one came up with this twist yet! I really like the idea of gluing blocks. Played a few modes and enjoyed it a lot. Coop "shared well" where you're in the same well is the mo…”

If you want a deckbuilder, skip it. If you want a casual puzzle game to mess around with friends, it’s worth a look for $11.99 despite the server jank. Just know you’re buying a puzzle game, not a roguelike deckbuilder.
