First Impressions: Get Outta My Gut Demo

A gooey, roguelite TD where you manually slice open pathogen sacs to trigger swarm combat.

Forget everything you know about sterile sci-fi bases and stone walls. In Get Outta My Gut, you're playing as a living immune system fighting a gross, organic war inside a human body to save the heart.

Gameplay

You aren't defending a castle or some sterile space station here. You're the immune system, and your job is to stop a contagion from hitting the heart by fighting through 10 different organs. The loop is weird and gooey. Instead of enemies just walking a line like in Bloons, the germs chill in a stomach pouch while you set up. Once you're ready, you manually use a scalpel to slice the membrane open and unleash the swarm. It's a total rush that turns the usual TD wait-and-see pace into something way more aggressive.

To stop the flood, you draft randomized bio-turret cards and reshape tissue into killzones. You've gotta feed these turrets blood to keep the carnage going. Since it's a roguelite, you're diving into upgrade trees and feeding your Evolution every time you wipe. It keeps you coming back because you're always a bit stronger for the next run. It's less about that pixel-perfect placement you see in Defense Grid and more about creating combo-fueled chaos.

Keep in mind this is just a demo, so it's got some rough edges. You'll definitely run into some jank and a lack of polish. It's not a mirror-shine experience yet, but the core hook is strong enough that you can overlook the bugs for now. Since it's free to play, there's no risk in trying it out to see if the organic vibe clicks with you.
