What is Gem Warrior R?

Gem Warrior R is a chaotic, physics-heavy autobattler that trades strategic depth for creative, explosive fun.

Stop scrolling and look at this weird little gem from Hotaru Studio. It’s a roguelike autobattler where you craft wild movesets with Skill Gems and watch your warriors explode into physics-based chaos. It’s messy, creative, and totally unique.

Gameplay

You’re diving into Gem Warrior R, a roguelike autobattler from Hotaru Studio that feels less like a strategy sim and more like a physics-based fever dream. Instead of managing a static board like in Teamfight Tactics, you’re hunting for Skill Gems in random shops to craft wild movesets for your warriors. It’s all about gear-hunting and creativity. You equip these gems, drop your unit into the arena, and let realistic physics take over. We’re talking knockbacks, explosions, and characters flying across the screen. It’s less about perfect synergy and more about causing maximum carnage. The loop is surprisingly addictive, turning your warrior from a wet noodle into a god with the right build. But it’s definitely an indie project with rough edges. The UI is clunky, and the devs used AI for some textures, which you’ll notice. It’s a blast if you want that build-and-watch vibe with a fighting game twist, but don’t expect polish.

Verdict

It’s a blast for a few hours if you’re bored and want to see digital warriors explode. Grab it if you like creativity over polish, but skip it if you need tight controls or hate RNG. It’s a 7/10 for what it is, not what it should be.
