What is Birds Go Fishing?
Birds Go Fishing is a cute, low-stakes bird sim with autobattler elements that feels more like a manager game than a tactical battle. It’s a proof-of-concept that works, but it needs more content to truly shine as a full experience.

Gameplay
You’re managing a tiny cliffside economy where eight birds hatch, catch fish, and sell them for gold. It’s a simple loop until raiders show up during the day to steal your stash. Then night falls, and trenchers climb up from the ocean to kill you. You hatch night birds and buy guardians to fight them off or throw them back in the water. It’s basically an incremental autobattler hybrid that scratches that 'numbers go up' itch without the sweat of Teamfight Tactics. The combat isn’t about complex synergies; it’s about optimizing your avian economy so you don’t get robbed blind. It’s less stressful than Hearthstone Battlegrounds, but way thinner on content. You’ll hit walls where you’re just waiting for timers, which feels bare-bones in this Early Access state.

Verdict
If you like idle games and birds, it’s worth a few hours of your time for the charm. But if you want deep strategy or competitive play, skip it and wait for more content. The $4.99 price is steep for a prototype that feels incomplete.
