What is Cybernetic Strategy?

Cybernetic Strategy is a flashy, approachable indie autobattler that trades AAA polish for fun robot combos and a low barrier to entry.

Cybernetic Strategy scratches that autobattler itch without the steep learning curve of the big titles. If you’re tired of spreadsheets and just want to watch cool robots fight with style, this indie gem from Dean Satine might be your next obsession. It’s free, it’s flashy, and it’s worth a look.

Gameplay

You jump into Cybernetic Strategy and immediately feel the high-energy sci-fi vibe. It’s basically Teamfight Tactics but make it flamboyant. You draft units, equip experimental items, and watch your robot legion scrap it out using Magic, Armoury, or Brute Force. The loop is standard autobattler fare, but the fights are way flashier than your average indie title. What I actually dig is how approachable it is. You don’t need a 40-page spreadsheet to understand the meta. It’s designed to be easier to pick up, which is a breath of fresh air if you just want to mess around with cool robot combos without feeling like you're studying for a math exam. It’s not perfect, though. Since it’s a smaller indie project, it definitely has some rough edges. The UI can feel a bit clunky in spots, and being a multiplayer game, you’ll probably run into some server hiccups here and there. It’s definitely more passion project than AAA polish, so manage your expectations on polish.

Verdict

It’s a solid 7/10 for what it is. If you want deep, complex strategy, skip it. But if you want a fun, low-stress way to play with friends, grab it. It’s free on Steam, so you’ve literally got nothing to lose.
