What is Tower Tactics II?

A chaotic, deck-building TD hybrid that’s incredibly addictive despite its clunky Early Access UI and some punishing map designs.

Forget everything you know about static tower defense layouts. Tower Tactics II fuses deck-building roguelikes with TD mechanics, forcing you to adapt your strategy card by card. If you crave builds that shift from desperate survival to total domination, this wild ride is exactly what you need.

Gameplay

Tower Tactics II throws out the standard 'place tower, wait for wave' loop you’re used to in games like Kingdom Rush. Instead, you’re building a deck. You pick one of five characters, each with their own card pool, and you play cards to deploy towers and hunt for trinkets. It’s a mashup of roguelike deck-building and tower defense that feels way more dynamic. One run you’re barely surviving, and a couple of turns later, you’ve pulled enough game-breaking combos to become a literal god of destruction. The core loop is addictive because your build changes every time. You’re constantly adapting to the map and the enemy waves, trying to find that perfect synergy between cards and trinkets. It scales up the idea from the first game, making it bigger and more chaotic in the best way possible.

Verdict

It’s worth your time if you want a TD that challenges your deck-building skills rather than just your placement precision. Skip it if you need a polished, bug-free experience right now, as the clunky UI and punishing early maps in Early Access might frustrate you. At $14.99, it’s a fair price for the depth, so grab it while it’s fresh and start breaking the game.
