What is Bounty Hunters?

A gritty, mercenary-style TD with a great core loop that's currently held back by Early Access jank.

If you're hunting for a new TD fix that isn't just another generic clone, you need to look at Bounty Hunters. It's a gritty, indie mix of tower defense and bullet hell that puts your economy skills to the test.

Gameplay

You aren't just plopping down towers and praying here. You're managing a mercenary-style setup in a top-down 2D world that mixes tower defense with bullet heaven and resource gathering. It's way more intentional than something like Kingdom Rush; you've gotta nail your early game economy or you're toast. The core loop is tight, but it's a balancing act that'll punish you if you get sloppy with your placements.

It doesn't just copy the Bloons TD formula. While it's still about stopping creeps from reaching the end, the vibe is grittier and feels like a true indie project. You'll spend your time fighting through bullet hell mechanics and gathering resources to keep your defense viable. It's derivative in the basic sense, but the execution feels fresh enough to keep you coming back for another run.

Now, the catch is the Early Access state. It's a $5.00 buy-in, which is a bit unusual for an indie TD that's still this rough. You'll deal with a clunky UI and bugs that might actually make you want to alt-f4. Depending on your rig, you're also going to hit some performance dips that break the flow. It's not a polished AAA experience by any stretch.

If you can stomach the jank, the bones are solid. It's a gritty take on the genre that rewards precision over mindless spending. Just don't expect a smooth ride until AntiCodec puts in the work to iron out those kinks. Right now, it's a 6.5/10 that needs a serious coat of paint to really shine.
