Gameplay
Look, if you're coming here for a classic tower defense fix, you're in the wrong place. This isn't like Kingdom Rush or Bloons where you're just placing towers and watching things pop. Instead, you play as Lop, a cook traveling with a party of adventurers. Your core loop is basically: fight monsters, cook their meat, and feed your party so they don't collapse while you're trekking through the dungeon. You're the backbone of the team, and if you don't keep the food flowing, everything falls apart.
It's more of an action-RPG with a cooking twist than a strategy game. You'll find it's got that addictive 'just one more meal' pull, and the anime style keeps things looking clean. However, it's a small indie project from Pico Games, so don't expect AAA polish. The combat feels a bit simplistic, and the systems are definitely on the shallow side. If you're looking for deep, complex mechanics, you'll probably find it too light.
