Gameplay

You're not just sitting back and watching towers pop balloons here. Red Epic flips the script by blending traditional TD with light RTS elements. One minute you're placing defenses, and the next you're actively moving troops to encircle the enemy and launch attacks. It's way more proactive than the usual loop, forcing you to think about positioning and movement rather than just spamming level 10 upgrades. You'll fight across campaign maps based on real historical terrain from the Long March, which gives the whole thing a grounded, tactical vibe.

Since it's a demo from Old Days Archive Studio, you've gotta deal with some serious indie jank. The UI is clunky and the whole experience feels like it's still in an experimental phase. It's not a polished masterpiece yet, but the ambition to merge two genres is what keeps you coming back. Because it's a free demo, the rough edges don't sting as much, but you'll definitely feel the lack of polish in the menus and controls. It's a bit of a wild card that asks you to be a commander, not just a tower architect.
