Stop building static walls and start fighting back. Tower Legends throws you into a frantic 100-level gauntlet where the environment is just as dangerous as the enemies. If you're tired of the same old 'set it and forget it' TD formula, this is the jolt you need.
Gameplay
You aren't just sitting back and watching a movie here. The core loop is all about reacting to a battlefield that actually fights back. You'll pick a stage from the 100-level world map, set your line, and then spend the rest of the match frantically adapting your targeting and selling towers on the fly. It's way more high-pressure than Kingdom Rush because the waves escalate quickly and force you to change your mind mid-fight.
Progression comes through a mix of tactical RPG elements and a skill tree. You've only got four tower types to work with, but you can level them five times each to keep things diverse. Between levels, you'll spend your time staring at the map and checking enemy buffs to tweak your roster. It's a tight loop, but it's definitely an indie project. You'll hit some rough edges and 'wild' difficulty spikes that force you to scrap your entire strategy just to clear one stage.
At $4.99, it's a paid title in a genre dominated by free-to-play games. For most, that's a steal given the content, but the lack of polish compared to something like Bloons TD is noticeable. It's not a masterpiece, but the mechanical twist keeps it from feeling like another generic clone. My score: 7/10.
