First Impressions: Sí Jefe Demo
Imagine a first-person roguelike where your power comes from a pill bottle and your biggest enemy is your own addiction. Sí Jefe is a chaotic, drug-fueled trip through Mexico that breaks every traditional deckbuilding rule in the book.

Gameplay
You're dropped into a first-person roguelike set in Mexico where your 'deck' isn't a hand of cards, but a loadout of weapons, objects, and drugs. The loop is simple: you venture into an open world, fight, and pop pills to get an edge. The real hook is the synergy. You'll try to stack buffs to become a god, but there's a massive catch. If you overdo it, the drugs kill you. It flips the usual deckbuilder logic where more power is always better; here, you're constantly balancing being unstoppable against dropping dead from an overdose.
It's not like Slay the Spire where you're sweating over every single point of damage. It's way more visceral and chaotic. The visuals are a trippy mix of 3D and pixel art that feels like a fever dream. Since it's a demo, it's definitely an indie passion project with some rough edges. The open world feels more like a playground than a polished map, and you'll hit some jank along the way. It takes that risk-reward tension you see in Balatro and shoves it into a first-person shooter. It's free to try, so the low barrier to entry makes the lack of polish easier to swallow.
