What is Onward?
Tired of sitting still while monsters siege your base? Onward forces you to take the fight to them in this weird little indie find by Hydyhude. It’s a refreshing twist on the genre that trades static defense for a tactical march forward.

Gameplay
You’re tired of the same old 'build a wall and pray' loop, right? Onward flips that script entirely. Instead of sitting in one spot defending a base, you’re pushing forward through levels to attack the attackers. It’s basically a 'tower offense' hybrid where you place human units in the path of monsters to duke it out. You clear a stage, upgrade your stuff, and move onward. The core loop is simple: place minions, watch them fight, upgrade, repeat. It feels like those old-school Flash games we used to play in school. It’s not exactly Kingdom Rush with its polished art and deep strategy, but it’s got that same addictive 'just one more level' vibe. You need to continue onward, and the satisfaction comes from seeing your line of units advance rather than just holding the line.

Verdict
It’s a fun palette cleanser if you’re bored of Bloons TD mazes, but don’t expect deep strategy. Skip it if you want polished graphics or complex stats, but grab it for a cheap, janky fix if you want to try something different for under a dollar.
