What is Slimeball Castle Wars?
You’re jumping into a 6v6 multiplayer scrap that feels like the old Warcraft 3 Castle Fight mod, but stripped down to a 2D top-down vibe. You don’t micro-manage units here. Instead, you build structures that pump out troops automatically. These units just march toward the enemy castle while you try to out-build and out-spawn the other team. It’s a weird hybrid of tower defense and a strategic tug-of-war. The loop is super addictive because you’re constantly balancing your economy to flood the lane first. Unlike Bloons TD or Kingdom Rush where you’re just stopping waves, here you are the one creating the wave. They’ve also added Bullet Heaven and Tower Defence mods recently, which keeps it from feeling like a one-trick pony.

Verdict
It’s a blast with friends if you like high-chaos multiplayer and strategic spawning, but it’s not for anyone wanting a relaxing single-player puzzle TD. At $14.99, it’s a fair price for the fun factor, even if the Early Access state means some rough edges. Give it a shot if you want to run some matches, but wait if you need a polished, finished experience.
