Gameplay
You're basically looking at a weird hybrid here. It's a strategy card game at its core, but you'll spend a lot of your time in 'Leader Clash,' which is a full auto-battler mode. You pick one of five nations, grab a Leader, and build a deck around them. Unlike TFT, you aren't pivoting every few rounds based on a shared pool. It's way more about the prep work and the synergies you bake into your deck before the fight even starts. It feels more like a deck-builder that eventually lets you sit back and watch your army wreck things.
The loop is surprisingly addictive. You've got ranked duels and clan wars, but the real test is 'The Gauntlet,' a 100-floor roguelike mode that proves if your build actually works or if you just got lucky. It's less about hitting 'refresh' on a shop and more about reading your opponent and timing your commits. Since it's free-to-play, the barrier to entry is zero, but you'll have to see how the progression feels as you climb those floors.
It's not all smooth sailing, though. The game is in Early Access and it shows. You'll run into some rough edges and unpolished spots. The biggest red flag is the performance; your CPU might bottleneck your FPS even if you're rocking a beast of a GPU. It's a fresh flavor if you're bored of the Hearthstone Battlegrounds loop, but you'll need to keep an eye on your settings when you boot it up.
