What is NERMIUS?
Imagine if Vampire Survivors had a baby with a corporate colony sim and an idle clicker. That's NERMIUS, a strange but satisfying loop where you fight alien hordes to fund a corporate empire.
Gameplay
First thing you've gotta know: this isn't a tactical autobattler like TFT or Battlegrounds. It's a weird, addictive hybrid. You play as a Shell—a corporate combat bot—and your time is split between bullet-hell survival runs and a colony strategy mode. You'll dive into the action to fight alien fauna and grab upgrades, then pivot to an incremental clicker system to grow your corporate empire. The loop works because the active combat fuels your idle growth, making you feel that 'just one more run' pull as you evolve into an unstoppable god-machine.
It's definitely borrowing heavily from the Survivor genre, but the colony layers make it feel fresher than most clones. That said, it's still in Early Access, and you'll feel it. The UI is clunky when you're jumping between the action and management sides, and the mid-game progression curves can feel way too steep. At $3.00, it's a paid title in a space where most clones are free, but the extra depth of the colony sim justifies the price for me.
If you're into the feeling of starting with nothing and scaling up through a mix of skill and mindless clicking, you'll love the progression. Just don't expect a polished masterpiece yet. It's a blast, but it needs a bit more shine on the edges to really hit its stride. I'm giving it a 7/10 because the core loop is strong even if the transitions are a bit rough.

Grab this if you love roguelite survival and idle growth games. If you're looking for a tactical, turn-based autobattler or a fully polished experience, skip it until the Early Access rough edges are smoothed out.
