What is Cannon Clicker?

A satisfying but clunky WWII idle-hybrid that's perfect for second-monitor gaming if you can stomach the grind.

If you've ever wanted to build a WWII war machine from scratch just by clicking, you need to see Cannon Clicker. It's a weird, addictive hybrid that blends idle clicking with army management to let you dominate the battlefield.

Gameplay

You start with absolutely nothing and click your way up to military supremacy in a WWII setting. It's not a traditional autobattler like TFT or Battlegrounds since you aren't drafting from a shared pool; instead, it's a hybrid of an idle clicker and a tactical army builder. You'll spend your time juggling three different currencies to fund your war machine while dumping points into a skill tree to make your units actually viable. Once you've set your strategy, the 'auto' part kicks in and you watch your infantry, tanks, and aircraft tear through the enemy base.

The loop is super satisfying when it works. You build your force, crush the base, and use those gains to scale even higher. It's got that dangerous 'just one more upgrade' vibe that'll wreck your sleep schedule. However, it's definitely a casual experience. You won't find any deep, competitive meta-gaming here, and the menus feel clunky and rough around the edges. It's way more about resource management and scaling numbers than precise positioning.

At $5.99, the value is a bit debatable. Most idle clickers are free-to-play, so you're paying a premium for a simulation that feels a bit shallow in places. If you're looking for a high-stakes strategy game, this isn't it. But as a 'second monitor' game to run while you're doing other stuff, it hits the spot. I'd give it a 7.6/10 for the pure satisfaction of seeing your army grow.

Verdict

“So, I received this game from the devs, but... It just is not fun. The grind required to even get past the first level is rather unfair and unearned by the game itself. Then when you finally get past …”

“Terrible game. I gave it too much time and can't get my money back. Avoid at all costs. Should be a free mobile game with ads and even then it would still be terrible value for money.”

Grab this if you love watching numbers go up and want a low-stress WWII swarm simulator. Skip it if you hate grinding or want a deep competitive strategy game, as the shallow systems might not justify the price tag.
