What is Arrow Card Arena (箭域卡戰)?

A cheap, clever tactical skirmisher that replaces traditional combat with directional arrow puzzles.

Stop playing the same old 'play a card, do damage' loop and try something that actually cares about geometry. Arrow Card Arena turns deckbuilding into a spatial puzzle where your attack direction is just as important as the card's power.

Gameplay

You aren't just playing cards here; you're managing arrows. The core loop turns the typical deckbuilder into a spatial puzzle because every card has a fixed direction. You'll spend your turns staring at the board, trying to angle your attacks to actually land a hit or trigger a counterattack. It's a double layer of strategy where you're juggling Fire, Water, and Wood elements to beat the enemy while making sure your arrow is actually pointing at them.

Your deck is tiny—only six cards—which means every single choice you make actually matters. You can't hide behind a massive pile of staples like you would in Slay the Spire. Instead, you're focused on tight synergies within a very limited space. It's more of a tactical skirmish than a sprawling odyssey, focusing on 15 stages and boss battles.

At $2.99, it's a cheap entry point, but don't expect a polished masterpiece. It's a solo indie project and it feels like it. The presentation is bare-bones and there's some clunkiness throughout. While there's a timed New Game Plus mode for meta-progression, it doesn't have the depth of something like Monster Train. It's a solid proof of concept, but the content is lean.

If you're looking for a 100-hour experience, you'll be disappointed. The loop is tight and the logic is sound, but the sheer amount of content is limited. You'll either love the geometry-based combat or find the simplicity a bit too shallow.

Verdict

I'd give it a 7/10. Grab this if you like tactical puzzles and tight, small-deck builds, but skip it if you're hunting for a deep, long-term progression system.
