What is Aethercrypt?
Imagine a tactical roguelike where you don't just build one deck, but coordinate a whole squad of witches and warriors. Aethercrypt lets you and three friends tackle procedural dungeons together in a party-based card battler.

Gameplay
You're not just piloting one hero here; you're managing a full squad of adventurers and witches. The core loop is all about balancing multiple class-specific decks at once. You'll dive into procedural dungeons and expand each character's deck as you win battles, trying to find synergies between your party members to survive. It's a bit like if Monster Train had a co-op mode where you and your friends actually shared the tactical burden.
The biggest draw is the 4-player co-op. It's designed to stop that boring 'waiting for your turn' feeling common in the genre by making the combat a coordinated party effort. However, the depth is a major question mark. While the party-management layer makes the deck-building feel more like a tactical RPG than a math problem, it's not exactly a Slay the Spire killer.
At $12.99, you're paying a premium for a game that feels unfinished. Since it's a smaller indie project from AtneGames, the 'fantasy dungeon' aesthetic feels a bit derivative. You'll find a basic loop of battle, draft, and move, but the meta-progression doesn't feel meaty enough yet to justify the price tag if you're playing solo. It's an ambitious project, but it's definitely still in the oven.

Verdict
“Don't waste your money on this game. It will take you less than 2 hours to beat. There is very little depth. This game should have been like $2. It is no where near complete.”
Wishlist this if you're dying for a co-op deckbuilder to play with friends. Otherwise, skip it for now because the shallow systems and unfinished state don't justify the price.
