Gameplay

You're building a squad of over 50 Japanese folklore monsters and gearing them up to tear through historical eras of Japan. Don't let the idle tag fool you into thinking it's just a number-go-up simulator; it's a lightweight RPG/autobattler hybrid. You'll spend your time recruiting Yokai, training their skills, and obsessing over the crafting menu. The crafting is where the real game lives, as you hunt for randomized modifiers on gear to create specific builds.

It's not like TFT where you're pivoting your whole team every few rounds based on a shop roll. Instead, it's a long-term grind where you optimize your roster so you can make progress while you're away from your PC. It feels more like Battle Brothers than Hearthstone Battlegrounds because you're managing a permanent roster and their equipment rather than a temporary board of cards.

Since it's a solo dev project, you'll run into some raw edges. Some art assets are missing and the tutorial is a bit clunky. It's designed to fit around your real life, letting you leave it running in the background for sweet loot, but you've got to put in the work to figure out the systems yourself.
