What is 仙门守护者?
If you're tired of the same old maps and want a tower defense game with a heavy RPG lean, you've gotta check out Immortal Sect Guardian. It blends oriental xianxia cultivation with strategic defense to create something genuinely unique.

Gameplay
You're defending your sect from demon hordes, but forget generic turrets. In this one, you're using 'cultivators' as your towers. It's a weird, addictive mix of traditional TD and RPG progression where you don't just build—you actually cultivate your disciples to make them stronger. You'll spend your time setting up formations and fighting off waves, then dumping your gains back into your characters to level them up.
It's not as polished as Kingdom Rush, but that 'living turret' idea adds a layer of strategy that keeps it from feeling like a clone. The loop is solid, though you'll definitely notice the rough edges. Programmer Xiaohui used AI (Codex) to help build the game, and it shows. The UI is clunky and the polish just isn't there yet. It's got that indie charm, which is basically code for 'it's a bit janky.'
At $3.99, it's a paid title in a genre that's often free-to-play, but it's a fair price for the amount of RPG depth you get. You're not getting a AAA experience here, but if you've got a few hours to kill and love the xianxia vibe, the cultivation mechanics make it feel like a diamond in the rough. Just be prepared for some awkward menus and a learning curve that isn't always smooth. I'd give it a 6.5/10.

Verdict
Grab this if you love cultivation themes and RPG progression. If you demand a polished, seamless UI or hate clunky indie games, you should probably skip it until the dev smooths out the edges.
