Gameplay
You're not just plopping towers on a map and watching them work like you do in Bloons. In Void Havoc, you're the captain of a ship, manning the vessel while you try to stop the Contingency from destroying everything. It's a mix of strategy and action where you're actively managing your arsenal to blow through waves of enemies. This ship-as-base mechanic makes the game feel more like a tactical combat sim than a stationary TD.
The loop is satisfying because it feels like a fight rather than a math problem. You'll spend your time collecting weaponry and trying to outmaneuver the enemy, which gives the whole experience more energy. It's punchy, fast, and leans hard into that sci-fi vibe.
Since this is a demo, you've gotta deal with some rough edges. It's definitely not as plug-and-play as Kingdom Rush, and the devs are still polishing the experience. You'll notice it's an unfinished product, but the core combat is already there. It's free to try, so there's no risk in seeing if the combat clicks for you.
If you're looking for a deep, finished strategy epic, you won't find it here yet. It's a glimpse of a concept that needs more baking. But if you want something that blends ship management with tower defense elements, it's a solid start.
