What is Tower64?

A satisfying, budget-friendly roguelite where you build a broken elemental tower to annihilate endless hordes.

Forget drafting units against other players in a lobby. Tower64 lets you build a massive, evolving crystal tower that shreds hordes of enemies with elemental chaos in a satisfying tower-survivor roguelite.

Gameplay

You're not buying units or drafting in a lobby here. Instead, you're stuck in the center of the map defending a single crystal tower against absolute hordes of enemies. Your entire goal is to forge an insane arsenal of beams, missiles, and elemental attacks. It's a tower-survivor roguelite that hits that same dopamine button as an autobattler because you're building a broken engine that eventually does all the work for you.

The loop is super addictive: survive a wave, pick an upgrade, and watch your tower evolve into a death machine. You'll spend your time mixing fire, frost, void, and holy damage to see what creates the most chaos. It's all about the build. If you love the 'numbers go up' feeling of a roguelike but want hands-off combat, this is exactly your speed.

It's not perfect, though. The 3D pixel art looks cool, but things get messy fast. When the screen fills with a thousand projectiles, it becomes visually cluttered. It's got that indie grit, and since there's no multiplayer drafting like you'd find in TFT or Battlegrounds, the depth comes entirely from your own experimentation.

At $6.99, it's a paid title in a space where a lot of these survivor-likes are free or cheap. It's a fair price for the amount of strategy involved, but you'll have to accept that you'll spend a lot of time failing runs before you find the synergies that actually work. It's a low-stress way to feel like a god of destruction if you've got a few hours to kill.

Verdict

I'd give it a solid 8/10. Grab this if you want a high-strategy, low-stress build-fest, but skip it if you can't stand visual clutter or prefer competitive multiplayer drafting.
