What is Retro Clicker?
Looking for something low-effort to mess around with? Retro Clicker is a minimalistic hybrid that blends idle clicking with army building for a chill, retro-styled experience.

Gameplay
Don't let the name trick you. If you're coming from Teamfight Tactics or Battlegrounds looking for deep drafting and complex synergies, you're in the wrong place. This isn't a tactical autobattler; it's a hybrid idle clicker. Your core loop is simple: click to get gold, hire units to do the fighting for you, and watch them shred through monsters. It's all about that dopamine hit of seeing numbers go up.
Progression is a straight line. You upgrade your stats until you hit a wall, then you hit the prestige button for permanent power-ups to push further. It's honest, but it's not deep. If you've played Clicker Heroes, you've basically played this. There's no complex positioning or meta-gaming to worry about here.
It's a small indie project from Reloop Games, so it's definitely rough around the edges. You won't find the polish of a Riot or Blizzard title. It's a bit derivative and doesn't reinvent the wheel, just adds a retro coat of paint to a standard formula. Also, it costs $2.99. In a genre that's almost always free-to-play, paying upfront for a simple loop is a bit of an oddity, though it's a cheap enough entry fee.
Still, it works as a background game. You can leave it running while you're doing other stuff since it doesn't demand your full attention. It's a decent time sink if you just want to zone out and build an army. I'd give it a 6/10.
