What is MECH DISTRICT?
Imagine if you smashed a factory automation sim and a tactical RPG together, then sprinkled some Tower Defense on top. That's MECH DISTRICT, a weird and ambitious hybrid where your ability to build a factory determines whether your base survives the night.

Gameplay
You're inheriting a ruined industrial wasteland, and your main goal is to build it back up. It's not your typical tower defense where you just plop towers on a path like in Bloons TD or Kingdom Rush. Here, production is defense. You've gotta manage physical logistics and exports to fuel your war machine, meaning your factory layout actually determines if you survive the PigDude raids. It's a wild loop of automating belts and grids, then switching gears to deploy Raidframes and Superframes into turn-based tactical RPG missions across the Aegis Grid.
It's a lot to juggle, and that's where the depth comes in. You aren't just worrying about range; you're worrying about blueprints and supply lines. When your logistics click, the combat feels rewarding. However, it's in Early Access, so don't expect a polished AAA experience. You'll hit some clunky moments and rough edges because it's trying to blend so many genres at once. At $15.99, it's a fair price for the ambition, but you're paying for a work-in-progress. If you hate micro-managing belts or find turn-based combat tedious, this isn't the game for you.

Verdict
I'm giving this a 7.5/10. Grab it if you love the automation-meets-combat vibe, but skip it for now if you can't stomach Early Access jank and clunky menus.
