What is Loop Hero?

Loop Hero turns deck-building into world-building, creating a hypnotic loop of ecosystem management that rewards patience but punishes impatience.

Forget everything you know about active turn-based combat. In Loop Hero, you’re not playing the hero; you’re the dungeon master guiding them through an endless, auto-walking circle. Your deck doesn’t control attacks—it constructs the world itself, turning every run into a unique puzzle of risk and reward.

Gameplay

Loop Hero flips the deckbuilder script on its head. You don't control your hero in combat. They just walk in a circle, fighting automatically. Your job is to place terrain, buildings, and enemies from your deck to shape the world around them. It’s less about managing hand combos and more about ecosystem design. You buff enemies by clustering specific tiles, which drops better loot for your hero. The tension comes from balancing risk and reward. Make the loop too easy, and your hero stays weak. Make it too hard, and they wipe before the boss. The meta-progression is where it truly clicks. You use scavenged resources to build a camp, unlocking new cards and gear. Every failed run makes the next one slightly more viable, creating a addictive loop of optimization.

Key Features

What Players Say

Players are split between obsessed fans and frustrated newcomers. Many call it 'addicting' and praise the innovative approach to the genre, with one user noting it’s 'one of the best roguelites on Android' for its quality port. However, the steep learning curve bites hard. Some players feel the game is 'stupid' or 'unplayable' because upgrades feel too small to matter against boss damage. Others complain about 'getting sick of this' because they can’t build anything despite having resources, while a few note that luck with map layout can make or break the fun. It’s a peculiar blend that works for some but feels broken for others.

If you love optimizing systems and don't mind watching your character fight automatically, this is a 9/10 experience that will steal your sleep. But if you want active control or quick, reactive combat, skip it. The trial is free, so test the waters before committing to the full purchase.
