What is Galaxy Hunter?

Galaxy Hunter offers a tight, synergistic deckbuilding loop with a unique sci-fi twist, but you’ll need to tolerate a janky UI and early-stage bugs to enjoy it.

Stop scrolling past the usual dungeon crawlers for a minute. Galaxy Hunter swaps swords for starships and delivers a surprisingly spicy deckbuilding experience that rewards smart positioning over brute force. It’s tight, it’s thematic, and it might just hook you for twenty hours this weekend.

Gameplay

Galaxy Hunter throws you into a cosmic opera where you’re building a fleet, one card at a time. It’s a tight turn-based loop where your cards act as maneuvers, weapons, and crew buffs. You aren’t just slamming 'attack' cards down; you’re stacking modifiers that trigger based on your ship’s position. If you nail the synergy between propulsion and long-range beams, you can melt bosses before they even get close. It gives you that same 'I’m a god now' feeling you get in Slay the Spire when your deck finally clicks. Run variety is solid, too. You’ll find different ship hulls that fundamentally change how you build, keeping it from feeling repetitive. Meta-progression is there as well. You unlock new starting cards and ship parts as you fail, so you actually feel stronger between runs. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it puts a cool sci-fi spin on the mechanics we love.
