What is Endless Rails?
Imagine protecting a rolling fortress from hordes of monsters while juggling drone commands and evasion tactics. Endless Rails throws you into a chaotic isometric shooter that blends roguelite progression with the thrill of a moving train. It’s wild, it’s raw, and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.

Gameplay
Endless Rails isn’t your typical tower defense game where you place a turret and watch the numbers go up. You’re piloting a train through a monster-infested wasteland, and you’re doing it while managing a fleet of drones. It’s an isometric bullet heaven roguelite, so the action is frantic. You move the train left and right to dodge enemy waves while simultaneously controlling your drones to shoot enemies and gather coins. Between the chaos, you stop at stations to spend your loot on new weapons, wagons, and upgrades. The loop is addictive: fight, loot, upgrade, repeat. You’re merging train cars to beef up defenses and keeping your drone swarm tight. It feels like Brotato if the arena was a moving fortress. You aren’t building mazes like in Kingdom Rush; you’re reacting to the chaos in real-time.

What Players Say
The community sentiment is generally positive, though the player base is small. One player noted it’s a 'cute little game' where you dodge waves while controlling drones, praising the charm. Another called it 'fun, cute, clean, and cheap,' but complained about the lack of tooltips explaining shop items. A longer playthrough mentioned that while the meta upgrades felt expensive at first, you can re-spec, which keeps things interesting. However, not everyone is sold; one reviewer found the upgrade tree 'really limited' and felt the playstyle, while nice, had its rough edges. As one user put it, it’s 'worth a try' for the simplistic yet charming experience, but you need to manage expectations about depth.

If you like fast-paced roguelites and don’t mind a few bugs, grab it for the price. But if you need polished UI or deep strategic depth, wait for a later update. It’s a solid time-killer with charm, but the lack of tooltips and potential crashes are real hurdles.
