What is Dungeon Raid?
Forget those old match-three mobile games; Dungeon Raid is a proper card roguelike that'll make you sweat. You've got to dive deep into the dungeon to kill the final boss, but the real enemy is your own stomach.

Gameplay
You're diving into a dungeon, flipping cards to find loot and fight monsters, but there's a massive catch: every flip drains your hunger bar. It turns the whole run into a tense balancing act where you can't just explore every corner, or you'll starve before you hit the boss. You've gotta decide if risking a flip for a possible sword is worth the hunger cost or if you should just push forward. It's a 'push your luck' vibe similar to Inscryption, but focused heavily on resource management.
The deck-building loop is tight and efficient. You grab gear and abilities as you go, and while the synergies feel rewarding, don't expect the game-breaking combo depth of Slay the Spire. It's more about survival and efficiency than building an infinite engine. Run variety is solid because your hunger limits your movement, forcing you to pivot your strategy based on the food you find. Meta-progression is lean, so you're mostly fighting your own skill and a fair bit of RNG.
At $9.99, it's a fair price for a compact experience, but it's definitely an indie project with rough edges. You'll run into minor rendering issues in the camp and some lag when the screen gets crowded with enemies. It feels a bit raw, and the tutorial is a bit of a mess, leaving you to figure out things like weapon upgrades or the alchemy menu on your own. It's a great little loop, but it's not AAA polish. I'd give it a 7.5/10.

What Players Say
Players are split on this one. Some love the atmospheric vibe and think it's 'really awesome' for fans of the genre, while others feel it's 'utter garbage' due to a lackluster tutorial and counter-intuitive mechanics. A common complaint is that the game 'lacks depth' in combat and relies too heavily on RNG, with some users noting the tutorial only covers a third of the actual mechanics.

Grab this if you want a punchy, short-burst roguelike that punishes curiosity. Skip it if you need deep combat systems or a polished, bug-free experience, as the shallow depth and rough execution might frustrate you.
