What is Downer Management?
Ever wanted to weaponize corporate bureaucracy to crush your enemies? Downer Management lets you do exactly that in a 3v3 purgatory where the office ladder is your only weapon. It's weird, cynical, and honestly kind of brilliant.

Gameplay
Forget drafting dragons or mages. In Downer Management, you're fighting in a corporate purgatory where the 'battlefield' is just a nightmare office. It's a 3v3 setup, but instead of magic, you're using positional politics to win. The loop is a total trip; you aren't just hunting for 3-stars like you do in TFT. Instead, you're manipulating the corporate ladder. You'll find yourself promoting a struggling employee to push them up or demoting your best performer just so they can soak hits for the rest of your team. It's weird, it's cynical, and it totally clicks once you realize the goal is just surviving the Department of Management Division III.
You've also got options to file grievances to mess with your opponent's head, which adds a layer of spite that makes the game feel like a corporate fever dream. It's not as polished as Hearthstone Battlegrounds, and you'll definitely feel the indie rough edges. Since it's a smaller title from adarkfable, don't expect a massive meta-guide or a million streamers telling you the best build. You're figuring it out on the fly. One player put it perfectly, saying it's basically "Office Space" the game, but with auto-battling.
That lack of a set meta is where the replay value kicks in. You're experimenting with how to stamp, file, and transfer your way to the top without getting terminated. It's a niche vibe for sure, and the balancing can feel a bit shaky, but the creativity carries it. I'm giving it a 7/10 because while it's unpolished, the sheer audacity of the theme keeps you coming back just to see how absurd the interactions get. If you're bored of the same old fantasy tropes, you'll love this mess.

Verdict
Grab this if you're burnt out on fantasy tropes and want something experimental. It's a bit rough around the edges, but it's perfect if you enjoy figuring out a weird meta on your own.
