What is Daybots?
Imagine if a colony sim and a tower defense game had a baby, but then decided to let you jump into the action. Daybots lets you automate industry by day and frantically build defenses by night against solar-powered robots. It’s a weird, addictive mix that feels fresh even if it’s still rough around the edges.

Gameplay
You’re juggling two very different lives in Daybots. By day, you’re a colony manager, automating industry and growing resources to fund your defenses. By night, you’re a frantic builder, repairing walls and optimizing gear before the sun rises. The twist? You’re fighting solar-powered robots that freeze when it gets dark. This creates a wild rhythm where you spend the night prepping, knowing the clock is ticking until the bots wake up again. It’s way more complex than Bloons TD because you actually have to grow the colony to afford your towers. It’s a survival TD, not a traditional path-based game. You can command from above or step into a colonist in first-person, which adds a layer of immersion you don’t get in Kingdom Rush. The co-op aspect shines here, letting you play with up to three friends. Sharing one colony makes the automation and defense chaos, but it’s fun chaos. You’ll spend most of your time balancing resource generation with tower placement, trying to keep your base alive until the next dawn.

Verdict
If you like co-op and fresh takes on tower defense, add this to your Steam wishlist. It’s not for you if you want a polished, bug-free experience or if you hate managing resources alongside combat. Wait for full release if you’re sensitive to late-game balance issues, but playtest now if you want to see something new.
