What is Darrell 3D?
Forget managing five champions on a board. Darrell 3D drops you into the shoes of a spectator gearing up one lone adventurer for a brutal, autonomous run through a 3D dungeon. It’s a weird, niche twist on the autobattler genre that trades squad tactics for rogue-lite progression.

Gameplay
You aren't managing a squad here. You're playing as the spectator for a single guy named Darrell in this autonomous first-person dungeon crawler from Fun Adjacent. It’s basically a 'single-unit autobattler' where you gear him up, pick his patches, and set his loadout before sending him back into the dungeon. The loop is surprisingly addictive because you tweak your build and then just watch to see if he survives the next floor or gets absolutely wrecked. It’s not about high-APM clicking; it’s all about the prep. You’re rescuing dogs, witnessing bizarre FMVs, and watching him fight his way out of his prison. It feels more like a rogue-lite experiment than a traditional strategy game, stripping away the squad management to focus on one character's progression in 3D space.

Verdict
If you're bored of the usual board-game style autobattlers and want a cool twist on the 'auto' concept, give it a shot for the curiosity factor. However, if you need a polished, bug-free experience or hate retro graphics, skip it or wait for a full release. It's a bit unpolished, so temper your expectations accordingly.
