What is Cosmic Crossover?
Forget everything you know about fantasy wars and card games. Cosmic Crossover is a wild roguelike basketball sim where you draft a squad of galactic misfits to win the Galactic Cup. It's a weird, addictive pivot for the autobattler genre that you've gotta try.

Gameplay
You're not fighting monsters or casting spells here. Instead, you're drafting a ragtag squad of alien, mutant, robot, and human hoopers to climb a three-act tournament. The core loop is simple: draft your ballers, stack game-breaking cosmic relics, and set your strategy. Then you just watch the chaos unfold in a simulated 5v5 season. It's got that same 'just one more round' energy you get from TFT, but you're deciding if a four-armed gelatinous blob is a better center than a floating robot. When the synergies click, it's a total blast.
It's more of a roguelike basketball sim than a traditional autobattler like Dota Underlords. You'll spend your time coaching every quarter and collecting advanced alien gear to build enough power to challenge The King for the Galactic Cup. However, it's an indie project from EJ Applications and it shows. The UI feels clunky and the RNG can absolutely screw you over by the third act.
At $5.99, it's a paid title in a genre that's usually free-to-play. For most of us, that's a cheap entry fee for something this weird, but you're paying for an experimental experience. It's not as polished as the big titles, but the loop of building a cosmic dream team is addictive enough to keep you coming back despite the rough edges. I'd give it a solid 7/10.

Verdict
Grab this if you're tired of standard combat loops and want something experimental. If you can't stand clunky UIs or unfair RNG, you might want to skip it.
